Local Testimony 2025
The Local Testimony 2025 exhibition will open on Thursday 11 December 2025 at MUZA Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv, and will run for two months.
For the third time, the exhibition features the war and the public struggle for the release of the hostages. Early in October 2025 the ceasefire agreement was signed and the living hostages returned home, but both on the social and on the security level, the future is still unclear and fragile.
Local Testimony works towards the creation of a central cultural platform for photojournalism and contemporary documentation. The photographers in the exhibition present their unique perspective on the year’s significant events and the individual personal stories that will become historic icons.
Our thanks are due to the many photographers who submitted over 7,000 photos, the dedicated jury, and curator Ilia Yefimovich, for their unique contribution to the 22-year-old tradition of representing documentary photography and photo journalism.
