Dear photographers,

The Local Testimony website opens today for uploading photographs for entry in this year’s contest.
The selected photos will appear in the Local Testimony 2026 exhibition.

The closing date for uploading photos to the website is Monday, August 31, 2026, at midnight.

Instructions for submitting photos and video works can be found in the instructing guide on the website.

Again this year, the contest system is hosted on a platform from the international company Pictar, which specializes in such systems. The system is user-friendly, and we hope that you will have a pleasant and straightforward user experience.

Be aware that, although the system has an English-language interface, you may enter all your personal details and the information concerning your submitted photos in Hebrew.

In any case, we will make our best efforts to be reachable and to provide a prompt response to all questions or problems.

Please not that only photographs uploaded via this system can be assessed by the jury and proceed to the next stages leading up to the exhibition.

Prizes

Once again, the Local Testimony board will be continuing [SJSM1] the tradition of awarding prizes to the photographers whose photos are selected for the top places by the jury.

The total prize money is ₪30,000 shekel, shared equally between three prize-winners:

Photo of the Year – in memory of Roee Idan, sponsored by the Union of Journalists in Israel
Series of the Year – sponsored by the Local Testimony board
Video of the Year – creation prize sponsored by the Local Testimony board
