As of late November 2016, a demonstration is held every Saturday evening near the home of Israel’s Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit, in Petah Tikva.
The protesters claim, among other things, that Mandelblit has been delaying the submission of an indictment relating to the criminal affairs in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife, Sarah Netanyahu, and other members of the government, are involved. In the early months dozens of people participated, but over time hundreds and thousands joined. The protest is led by Meni Naftali, who served as caretaker at the prime minister’s residence. He sued for abuse and mistreatment which was accepted by the Labor Court.
