Tariq Abu Khdeir and his mother. Muhammad Abu Khdeir, an Arab teenager from Shu'afat, was murdered by a group of Jews in retribution for the murder of the three teenagers in Gush Etzion. Riots ensued after the funeral, during which time, Tariq Abu Khdeir, an American citizen and the victim's cousin, was arrested and brutally beaten by two Magav (Israeli Border Police) soldiers. He was released on bail the following day.
