Forest school is an educational model which originated in Denmark in the 1950s, and is based on daily hands-on encounters with nature, in virtually all kinds of weather. The first forest kindergarten in Israel was established in Mitzpe Ramon in 2012, and since then every year has seen the establishment of similar educational institutions in Israel.
