Gadi Mozes, an 81-year-old farmer, was abducted to Gaza on October 7 from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Five members of his family were abducted, and his life partner Efrat Katz was accidentally killed when an IDF helicopter fired on the cart carrying them to Gaza. On his release after 482 days in captivity, he said “I will do everything I can to rebuild Nir Oz” and went back to the kibbutz fields.
