In a desperate appeal for the release of her son Matan Zangauker, Einav Zangauker wore a black veil during a mock wedding ceremony held at Hostages Square for Matan and his partner, Ilana Gritzewsky, who had survived Hamas captivity. On 13 October 2025, after 738 days of persistent public activism, Einav was able
to hug her son on his release after the signing of the first stage of US President Trump’s 20-point ceasefire plan.
