The Ganei Tal moshav (cooperative settlement) was established in 1979 as a workers’ moshav. On 17 August 2005 as part of the disengagement plan that was approved in February that year, the settlement with its 85 families was evacuated. Some of the evacuees went to live in Chefetz Chaim and some in Yad Binyamin.
In the picture—a lone evacuee in tears at her new house in Chafetz Chaim that August.
